Matt Ryle wedding Photography is a small family run business based in Chichester, West Sussex. We are also happy to travel up and down the country or internationally for destination weddings. We specialise in photography and video, capturing those unmissable and unforgettable moments on your wedding day, creating heirloom images that are cherished for generations.

With our documentary style wedding photography we create a relaxed atmosphere, using the natural environment and capturing natural reactions.

Wedding days should be fun, but they can also feel overwhelming at times and it's our job to make sure documenting your day isn't something you are worried about.

 

 

 

Who takes the photos? Matt & Bella (and sometimes our 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son help with editing/culling images)

Hi I'm Matt, the lead photographer and videographer here in our little family run wedding photography business in Chichester (I say family run and I mean it, sometimes old daughter loves to add her advice when culling images, she's a budding photographer in the making). My role as your photographer is to capture the photos that help you remember the vibe and essence of the day in a way that doesn't make you feel like you have a camera pointed at you all day long. I want you to sit back and be able to just enjoy the day.

Bella:  I am Matt's life partner and mother to our two awesome babies (not so babies anymore) plus photography sidekick. It really is such a  privilege to witness and  document these incredible life moments for couples and I don't think I will ever get bored of it.

What areas do you cover?

We mainly cover the West Sussex area of England but we are happy to travel all over the country for weddings.  We have had great times in Sussex, Kent, London, Surrey and the Lake District. We are happy to travel anywhere in the UK.

What is documentary style wedding photography?

To us this means capturing the beauty of your wedding day without stopping the flow to take pictures.

 

There will of course be moments when you are more aware of us, for example in group shots, but most of the time we are taking photos in the background so you can focus on enjoying your day.

Do you do formal group photos?

For sure! We are guided by couples as to what they want. Our ethos is to simply document the day and we fully appreciate most couples will want some group shots, after all how often do you get everyone you love together in one place for a photo?

What equipment do you use?

We're not sure we've ever actually met a couple that really cares about this, but rest assured we use only the highest end equipment.

1. The latest Canon r6 ii's Full Frame cameras

2. L series prime and zoom Lenes

3. Godox flash and Led lighting for when the heavens above arn't playing ball.

4. Dual cards for back up on your unrepeatable day

​How many photos do we get?

This varies depending on the package you choose. There's no upper limit so for a  full day expect a minimum of 400 photos.

​

When do we receive our photos?

We try to get all couple a "teaser" album within a week. Usually you will receive full albums within 4 weeks and if you choose a video option this will be similar timeline.

​

Do you offer prints or albums?

We like to offer couples the best value we can, we will work exceptionally hard for you on your wedding day creating the most beautiful images you can dream of. Unfortunately we simply can't compete for value with online print companies and at present time do not offer prints.

Do we need a second photographer?

This really depends on what you are expecting from the day. The easiest way to decide on what's right for you is to give us a call.
