Bosham & Hollybank House Wedding Photography: Guy & Gemma’s Joyful, Heartfelt Celebration
Some wedding days stay with you long after the cameras are packed away — not because of grand gestures or elaborate plans, but because of the warmth, the laughter and the genuine joy shared between two people and the community around them.
Guy & Gemma’s beautiful wedding across Bosham Holy Trinity Church and Hollybank House is exactly that kind of day.
A celebration full of connection, personality, heartfelt moments and the kind of fun that only truly down‑to‑earth couples create.
The weather forecast looked ominous, West Sussex threatened rain…
but days like this remind me why I embrace whatever nature throws our way.
Because when a couple brings this much love and energy, the weather never stands a chance.
A Beautiful Start at Bosham Holy Trinity Church
Bosham is one of West Sussex’s true gems — a harbour village with narrow lanes, historic cottages and that unmistakable coastal calm. Holy Trinity Church sits at its heart: modest and traditional from the outside, but step inside and it becomes a photographer’s dream.
High ceilings.
Soft church light.
Stained glass.
Vast space that still feels intimate.
Guy spent the morning welcoming guests — half nervous excitement, half pure happiness — the kind of energy grooms often carry just before the ceremony. Documenting that anticipation is always such a privilege.
It’s the quiet before everything begins.
The moment all the threads of a couple’s story pull together.
Bridal Prep Beside Chichester Harbour
Across the road, Gemma was getting ready in a beautiful AirBnB overlooking Chichester Harbour. The space was light, calm and full of elegant touches — ideal for a relaxed morning.
The orangery provided the perfect setting for a bridesmaid reveal.
Huge windows.
Soft natural tones.
A little pocket of calm that felt like it was made for this exact moment.
Despite the forecast, the morning was full of brightness — light, laughter and that soft harbour glow we all hope for.

A Heartfelt Ceremony by the Water
There’s something almost magical about Holy Trinity Church in Bosham. Take a few steps beyond the church gate and you can see boats drifting slowly across the harbour. It feels ancient and peaceful all at once.
The ceremony was emotional and beautifully intimate — the kind of wedding where every face in the room feels connected to the couple.
Afterwards, the churchyard erupted into confetti — colourful, natural petals swirling through the air. Always one of my favourite moments.
And if couples ever ask about sustainable confetti, I love recommending Petal & Bird for their beautiful paper florals.

Photos Beside the Bosham Waterfront
After the ceremony, we walked to the quayside for portraits and group photos.
Bosham’s harbour gives you:
-
soft water reflections
-
textured walls
-
open sky
-
natural candid movement
-
a relaxed, coastal feeling that suits documentary photography perfectly
Guests spread out naturally, chatted, laughed — and the candid energy made every frame feel alive.
Just watch your footing… Bosham’s famous for its tidal mischief and enthusiastic seagulls.
Onto Hollybank House — A Hidden West Sussex Treasure
Next stop was Hollybank House, tucked quietly away among tall trees and rhododendrons. It’s one of those venues that feels comfortable and luxurious at the same time — warm, elegant and full of character.
The grounds are breathtaking:
-
sweeping lawns
-
woodland edges
-
secret corners
-
towering trees
-
gardens that feel endless
And, of course…
the full‑size treehouse with a 100‑foot zip wire.
Yes, adults used it.
Yes, I documented it.
Yes, it was fantastic.
Guy & Gemma chose a sailcloth pole tent for their reception — a perfect focal point in the gardens, glowing softly as the afternoon light settled.

A Night Filled With Food, Laughter & Dancing
As the evening arrived, the gardens shifted into that beautiful golden twilight — perfect for relaxed evening portraits and candid moments among the guests.
Inside the tent, the atmosphere was warm and full of love:
-
heartfelt speeches
-
incredible food
-
moments of laughter echoing across the lawn
-
dancing that carried well into the night
Hollybank House is wonderful like that — intimate enough to feel close, but spacious enough for energy and celebration to flow naturally.
Guy & Gemma created a wedding day that was joyful, relaxed, deeply personal and full of moments that reflect exactly who they are.
A truly unforgettable day with two incredible people.
